We started restoration of the Sebastian sculpture "Flower of Hope" last weekend. We will be restoring this piece over the next year or so down to raw steel and fix some areas that were rusting way ahead of when that would normally would begin. This piece is part of the University Health System here in San Antonio's private art collection. The custom welding and cutting and grinding will take place and then it will wait in storage for a while until the new building it will sit next to is built. Cant wait to get inside and start the whole process! The sculpture is about 22ft tall and is 12,500 lbs.
