Almost done with a custom welded iron ladder for our loft project. Clear skies today should make for a fresh crisp morning and a gentle breeze this afternoon, yeah right!

We patina the steel to look like cor-ten. We made some custom coffee tables and custom end tables with white hairpin legs. About to start a huge black walnut live edge table top for a custom dining table. Also these are some of our patina samples that can go on anything we make from custom light fixtures to custom metal table base and custom furniture frames. We made some custom corten steel style latitude and longitude for a client this week with zinc patina colored backing for the text. We have been doing quite at bit of custom cut text based projects lately with steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and other metals. Kyle has been perfecting his copper and steel pattern welded Damascus pieces to make custom knives and small decorative art pieces with. Just got a huge contemporary luxury coffee table back from the powdercoat place and it is looking amazing can't wait till its got the maple burls back on it and the custom cut glass top for it. Our large flower  public art project is about to shift into heavy fabrication blitz build mode as soon as we are done with this decorative iron loft balcony railing handrail. We are onto the last little bit of detail and a custom iron and wood ladder to get up into the loft. The place this is going in is amazing and we can't wait to show the finished product soon.

Playing with some fire yesterday at the studio and found some old bullet blanks to play with also. Much louder than expected when hit with a hammer. Got to head downtown and put some vinyl lettering on some donation bins at CAM Ministries, this is a great place that gives immediate help to people who are down on their luck. If you are ever looking for a place to lend a hand go check it out they can always use the help. Went to Houston yesterday to pick up some large sections of bent steel pipe for a public art piece we are fabricating for McAllister Park here in San Antonio.

Working on this massive coffee table for our friends over at Oaklore. This thing is such a unique piece of furniture and then you notice the scale of it! It has four huge maple reclaimed wood burls and they are just beautiful. All the corner welds are now ground down and this piece is coming together nice. Autumn was next to it for scale.

We got out this weekend and explored Confluence Park and it is beautiful! San Antonio's new park is stunning and Lake Flato Architects hit a homer with this one. The river runs right behind it and it even has a place to put in your kayak. The main star of the show is the beautiful huge concrete shade structures that are so delicately attached with metal hardware in several strategic points. The attention to detail is amazing they even used thick rusted steel for the parking stops in the parking lot. The extensive use of rusted steel in the park is amazing, they used thick steel plate as the retaining walls and bridges and tall vertical beams of rectangular steel as an out of the box privacy fence solution. And here are also some street numbers from last week that are backed in stainless steel and will be powder coated for the client.

Good morning! Its raining and will be all week so we are happy about the cooler temps but this throws a wrench in our Enchanted Rock plans. Got some signs and steel gate decorations done and delivered this week and so much more to do! We have some large iron work projects coming up that will be fun and some new table designs we are working on for our custom table line. There is a bee themed table coming up you won't want to miss where we use custom laser cut steel in the shape of honeycomb pattern. We will be using a custom black walnut book matched live edge piece for the top and its had the voids filled with black resin. We are also collaborating with a local glass blower to make a few light fixtures with custom iron work and hand blown glass pieces for a newly built home.
