Done with a loft project last week. We built a custom iron curved ladder with wood treads for a casita loft in Alamo Heights. Made a custom steel book shelf and a hand forged hammered tree as well. Got back to the studio and hung an old train sculpture on the wall and may toss some lights in there for fun. This week we made new steel racks and are remodeling the shop to be more functional. We are building some industrial cabinets with hand forged rivets and rustic patina, they then will get all dressed up with French white oak. Waiting out the rain so we can install 3 major public art projects! Chloe Kyle's dog the black lab shop dog stuck around all day and never even thinks of running off, she just wants to hang around. Had a blast in Dallas and got to catch up with so much family. Took about 3 tons of scrap steel to the yard the other day and have the shop cleaned out for the first time in years! Getting ready for several public art fabrication jobs to end and be installed and a huge steel industrial cabinet job to start. Also the first PSL of the season bought by Kyle immediately got thrown into Simon's lap!
