Made some custom curtain hardware today out of some neat industrial solid steel. We can make any kind of custom curtain hardware and curtain rods of any length with hand made brackets.

Cool projects are about to fill the studio! We have several more large light fixtures about to start and one of them is out of this world different than the ones we have been cranking out lately. Working on more of the planters for Magnolia Halle here in San Antonio and we are getting ready to ship a sculpture off. Also here is a throwback to a custom narrow live edge table we made.

Got our project for SAWS done out at the desalination plant called H2Oaks. The plastic and stainless steel all came together nice and the install went great aside from having to rent three generators none of which worked! Our new intern Jared was a huge help and we could not have lifted that many of those panels without him! The rest of the week is packed stay tuned!

A throwback of our dandelion sculpture in Tyler Texas. We are cutting culverts today with laser levels today because they are so hard to measure with the spiral shape. If you need aluminum repairs or fabrication we now are a full out aluminum welding powerhouse, and brass and bronze and many other metals!

We welded a custom car frame for Roosevelt High School here in San Antonio. The theater department needed a frame and wheel setup for their production of Cinderella so we made one thats like a Mr. Potato head and can be turned into any car or cart prop for future productions. They are so nice they even put a shout out in the program! We start fabrication on a new mailbox and are excited to get it going! Also we are on to working on the large steel planters made from culvert pipe today.

Started the morning off customizing a valet parking kiosk for a company that uses them as mobile photo booths. The rest of the day will be working on one of our public art pieces and making a dozen huge steel culvert pipe planters for the Magnolia Pancake Haus and Magnolia Halle the Urban Barn venue for Weddings and other events. We are getting ready to make the last phase of our retail space here at the studio and turn it into a legit gallery with proper lighting and decor so be looking for progress pics. This phase will include large custom modern planters out front and an exciting new steel sign with multi colored lights and lots of steel.

Got our computer situation fixed the other day so if you are waiting on a quote you should get it today! We have been busy working on public art pieces and have actually had some time to work on and start new sculptures! Its been a wild past few weeks involving 7 new car tires and two batteries and one rearview mirror. Been just  making parts and pieces and then letting the steel talk back. Very cathartic few days ahead. Simon's beard is nearing the end of its life, now that its been hot the love affair is over. Talking with an art consultant about a few large pieces getting sold so thats fun! Hope everyone has a great week!

Tig welded a stainless steel suit of armor yesterday and then repaired a sink from The Magnolia Pancake Haus. The helmet smelled a little like sweat and the sink smelled a little like bacon once they got hot. The interesting smells we get once heat is applied to metal parts that live very different lives has become a new somewhat sick fascination at Wanderlust Ironworks. No metal toilets or trash cans please.
