Hand forged iron dining table with reclaimed wood top done. Giant custom industrial bookshelf done. We got some super cool custom steel and copper mesh one is huge thick round steel and the other has what they call flat face. Have a pile of public art projects in the works we are working on all the details for them and will get going soon! We are also now making iron doors and rolling barn doors. These doors are mostly hot rolled steel with the blue effect and are modern and contemporary in style. As the weather down here gets cooler we get a bit more interested in custom forging again. Time to drag the anvil over and start smaking some metal.

One of our custom dining tables with a reclaimed wood top is done and will put it all together later today. We are working on a cool vintage stainless steel end table from back in the day. We chopped cut and rebuilt a clients antique tree sculpture this week. We got a pic of our large Scaleworks custom table delivery which was still one of our favorite spaces. We are also working on a stainless steel shoe rack that will be used to decontaminate shoes on a Mercy Ships Floating Hospital. These ships before covid-19 and the pandemic were out there in third world countries helping sick people and now are helping with that as well. Also a shot of our sculptors version of a paint brush, our angle grinders, each one does its own thing and adds texture and character to our work in addition to cutting and regular grinding.

For the first time we get to outfit a room in our own home with custom Wanderlust Ironworks furniture! We made our living room into a super cozy warmly lit movie room and home office. This furniture truly is a cut abouve the rest as far as bang for your buck custom furniture goes. Just a bunch of pics of things we are working on this week and some items we made a while ago but are now available to purchase and pickup in store. We are working on our showroom right now but do have a handful of custom tables and architectural iron work items ready to go no wait time like we have with the custom items. Starting to get a lot more live edge items through the shop and now in the showroom.

Picked up some cool treasures this weekend. We bought an antique 102 year old wooden harp case that was pulled out of a fire! We also found this really cool 1911 courthouse file cabinet. We plan on making the harp case into a reclaimed conversation piece coffee table with custom cut glass top. The file cabinet may become our personal spice cabinet for our kitchen or we turn it on its side and weld a frame around it to make an interesting console or sofa table, or an neat entrance table. Also these are some quick samples of a section of a much larger public art, hospitality art piece we want to do for a new hotel coming to San Antonio. Also Wanderlust Ironworks has been getting into the blacksmith look on a lot of things if your looking for a modern twist to old world traditional textures and hand hammered finishes.
