Last week we went to the Gaylord Texan Resort and installed a sculpture, then off to Alford Texas to get the scoop on a new machine we bought, then down to Bryan Texas to see our brother Alvin and get some bee wax that we use for a sealant on our blacksmith pieces and then back to San Antonio to get more Chris Madrid's picnic tables built!
A live edge table base hand forged and custom welded and a live edge bench with custom welded bracket. Blacksmith furniture San Antonio Texas
Getting one of our old sculptures repainted and then its off to New Jersey! Had fun at the Red Dot event we sponsored this week and saw several of our favorite artists from around town. San Antonio has some amazing artists with so much talent but beyond that they are some of the nicest people you could ever meet!
We say goodbye to a few more of our Magnolia light fixtures this week. We always enjoy when they go to a good family.
So glad to be back home and catching up with work at the studio and around town. Got one of our public art installs done this week with our good friend Cathy Cunningham Little hanging glass from the ceiling. Also knocked out our 18 wheeler art project where we cut out 10 panels from this truck trailer and are shipping them off next week all over the world. This was one of the more oddball art fabrication jobs we have ever had... so far.
Here is a recap of last week. We installed public art in Frisco Texas at a local water park before they opened it for the season. We touched up some hardware at Magnolia Pancake Haus when we got back and got our power hammer ordered. This week will be packed and long but we should have some cool pics from a public art install here in San Antonio and the trailer project is under way and several new and complicated light fixtures getting started.
